Despite the fact that the works began a few weeks ago, this Thursday the symbolic act of laying the first stone of the Sports Complex, outdoor swimming pools and artificial grass pitches, which will have a 15-month lead time.

The works, awarded to the company from Tudela Río Valle Construcción y Obra Pública, with a final budget of 5,978,862 euros, will make the project of the architects of AAMutilva Asociados SLP, Mikel Zabalza and Santiago Iribarren, a reality, which was approved together with the tender for the works, the specifications and the start of the contracting file.

Today’s event was attended by, in addition to Toquero, the managing director of the Navarre Government Sports Institute of Navarre, Miguel Pozueta; the councilors of Urbanism and Sports, Zeus Pérez and Irune García, and the team of architects, engineering and construction management. Among the guests were the presidents of the city’s clubs, Jesús Miranda (CD Tudelano), Iñaki Moneo (CD Lourdes) and Jesús Martínez (San Javier). For them, Toquero has had a mention in his speech, “our Tudela clubs have long demonstrated that they deserve this and more. It is a matter of dignity, these facilities are a matter of justice with their tireless and committed work,” he said. Furthermore, he stressed that “we have to be at their height and that of future users who work hard so that their city gives them and their children the coverage that developed cities provide, cities that promise well-being, cities that take care of their makers. “

The new sports complex will be co-financed by the Higher Sports Council, amounting to three million euros, as well as the Government of Navarra which it will finance with two million euros.

Will be built two new artificial grass pitches latest generation of approximate dimensions of 92mx65m and 102mx66m, equipped with the necessary facilities, both for the practice of Football 7 and Football 11 and that comply with all regulations regarding facilities, security, distances, perimeter fencing, goals, protections, networks, etc. They will be equipped with artificial lighting and an irrigation system. The second of them will also have a bleacher with a minimum covered area. Likewise, this area will be equipped with six changing rooms with a changing area, toilets and showers.

All this will be complemented with a heating zone, a bar, a concierge-ticket office, warehouses for sports equipment for the clubs with an office area and for maintenance material for the complex, access spaces, parking -a service, both in the area of ​​the football fields, and by extension to the set of projected facilities -, and transition spaces and relationship between them.

The project also includes outdoor pools, including children’s play area, lounge areas or solarium, bar, restaurant, summer changing rooms, sports recreation areas, concierge and infirmary, warehouses, picnic areas and grills.

The project will also include a room that surrounds the aquatic area and has large shaded spaces on islets. The approximate area will be 9.000 m2. The entire sports complex will be accessible to people with functional diversity.
