Since the first generation of its smartphone, i.e. the OnePlus 3 model, the young female brand plron has chosen a cycle of changing its peak models. After the OnePlus 3 model introduced in 2016, the 3T model followed in the middle of the year, and the following year the cycle was repeated with the summer OnePlus 5 model and the winter 5T model. This is how the cycle continued until 2020 and the model of eights. With the 2019 model 7, OnePlus also introduced a two-model strategy in the world of peaks, i.e. then it launched the 7 and 7 Pro on the market.
Nothing happened last year at OnePlus to change tactics, and the changes will continue until this year. In the spring of 2021, the company introduced a pair of models 9 and 9 Pro, with which it lasted for a whole year, on T-day it was not put on the market. And this year, at the beginning of the year, the company presented its successor, only in the form of the 10 Pro model (read the OnePlus 10 Pro review). It came to the Czech market with the bottom, nothing but the only drop in the peak of the series. This time, there was a new product of this order, type 10T. However, this is not a successor of the 10 Pro type, it is just a continuation of it and will be supplemented in the offer.
The OnePlus 10T is relatively lighter in comparison to the 10 Pro model, but it has different stickers elsewhere. As a result, it is equipped with a smartphone that is cheaper than its summer sibling.
The price of the OnePlus 10T starts at 749 euros (about 18,500 crowns) for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, the variant with a double portion of both memories will cost 849 euros (about 21,000 crowns). Type 10 Pro with a price of 919 euros on the street, 23,490 crowns in Czech e-shops, although the price according to the current exchange rate is about 22,700 crowns. We do not know the price of the new product, but for one euro, the OnePlus 10T can be pre-ordered via the manufacturer’s e-shop, and the customer can choose one of the handles for free (a cover or a wireless headset worth 149 euros). Orders are due on August 26.
And what does the customer get in this ppad? A phone that looks similar to the 10 Pro model and has similar dimensions (163 75.4 8.8 mm for the 10T vs. 163 73.9 8.6 mm for the 10 Pro), but the pin differs in equipment. So the display is 6.7 inches, but it is without bends on the sides and its resolution has dropped to 1,080 2,412 pixels (10 for m 1,440 3,216 pixels).
The set of cameras is a bit poor, which does not bear the Hasselblad logo. The OnePlus 10T thus has a main camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels, optical stabilization and f/1.8 aperture, and there is also an eight-megapixel wide-angle camera and a two-megapixel macro camera. All in all, nothing extra, but the main camera will certainly be of sufficient quality to satisfy even the most demanding users. The selfie camera is eight megapixels instead of 32 megapixels. We can find another step in the design, while the OnePlus 10 Pro meets the conditions of water and dust resistance according to IP68, with the 10T there was no mention of it.
There are nothing and plastered here. At first glance, the battery capacity has decreased by 200 mAh to 4,800 mAh, but this is not a noticeable change, the novelty still has lightning-fast charging with a power of 150 W, while its sibling only has 80 W. The OnePlus 10T has nothing to do with wireless charging. The new model is powered by a slightly more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and it is possible to have 16 GB of RAM with changes, while the 10 Pro model has a maximum of 12 GB. On the other hand, the old 10 Pro can be equipped with 512 GB of internal memory, while the ceiling for the 10T is 256 GB. This should be a problem for some, because neither phone has a microSD card slot.
The novelty runs Android 12 with the Oxygen OS 12.1 user interface and lacks a headphone jack, even in this the OnePlus 10T matches the 10 Pro model. Due to the steps and sticking to it, the new model seems to be a slightly more suitable purchase than the 10 Pro. On the other hand, it is also true here that the OnePlus models are not as suitable a purchase as they used to be in the beginning of the brand’s existence, and it will not be easy even for a new product to make its mark in the intense competition.
