Lahr: 1st / 2nd December: Tree felling in Friedhofstraße in Lahr – necessary detours for traffic are signposted

The condition of the ash trees in Friedhofstrasse has deteriorated significantly in recent years. The tree expert for the city of Lahr sees the stability of the trees no longer guaranteed and recommends that they be felled.

The BGL will carry out the work on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd December. On both days there will be obstructions for traffic, necessary diversions are signposted.

A total of 18 trees will be removed. Since considerable damage has been caused to the sidewalk and roadside in the limited locations over the years, both the sidewalk and part of the street must be completely renovated before the new planting. This work is planned for the beginning of 2021, so that the replacement planting can be carried out in autumn 2021.
