LafargeHolcim acquires 24 concrete plants and a quarry from Cemex

This acquisition allows LafargeHolcim to complete its industrial and commercial concrete network in a geographic area where it was historically not very present, in Saône-et-Loire, Ain, Savoie, Haute-Savoie and Isère.

Determined to increase its capacity to support its customers as widely as possible on French territory, LafargeHolcim France has acquired 24 concrete plants and a quarry from Cemex in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (Saône-et-Loire, Ain, Savoie, Haute-Savoie and Isère).

This acquisition opens up new markets for LafargeHolcim in a geographic area with high potential, thanks to its proximity to Switzerland and its local dynamics.

On these plants which will offer it the possibility of developing sales of its special concretes (Agilia, Thermedia, Hydromedia, Chronolia, Artevia, etc.), LafargeHolcim will rapidly deploy its ECOPact responsible concrete offer as well as the 360Score rating scale.

LafargeHolcim intends to maximize synergies with its activities by relying on the proximity of its cement plants in Val d’Azergues and Le Teil as well as on its aggregates quarries.

The group today has nearly 300 concrete batching plants in France.

The acquisition of the Sillans (Isère) aggregates quarry also confirms its desire to strengthen in this activity.
