Crazy pop icon Lady Gaga has received a record 13 nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards, the BBC reported. The flamboyant singer has been nominated twice in the category for best video – once for her song “Bad Romance” and the second time for her collaboration with Beyonce “Telephone”. The two ladies also received a nomination in the “Best Partnership” category.
“Ironic. I’m even happier because 13 is an unlucky number,” commented Lady Gaga.
After her in the ranking is the white rapper Eminem, who received 8 nominations.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles on September 12.
