Lady Gaga: When I was 19, I was raped by a producer, who then fired me pregnant on a street corner

Lady Gaga recalled the beginnings of her career in the new show The Me You Can’t See on the streaming service Apple TV. She described in the show how a music producer raped her when she was 19 years old, abused her for months and finally threw her pregnant out of a car on a street corner and left, informs The Independent.

Behind the new show are Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey, who want to bring the stories of familiar faces to the public at The Me You Can’t See, as they haven’t had a chance to see them yet. The show is intended to serve as an enlightenment in the field of mental health, because according to its creators, psychological problems are finally coming to the fore. However, they are experienced not only by the general public, but also by celebrities.

In the show, Lady Gaga attributes most of her psychological problems, which she had to deal with in her life, to the beginnings of her musical career.

“I was 19 years old, I worked in the industry and the producer told me to undress,” says in the opening episode of the show. “I said no, I left and they told me they would burn all my music,” she remembered with tears in her eyes.

Despite the pain the producer has caused her, she has no plans to reveal his name. “I never want to face that man again. This system is so violent, so dangerous … “ the singing star points out.

Mental problems from the beginning of her career haunt her to this day, and in the past she experienced collapse, but also recurring paranoia. “I realized it was the same pain I felt when the person who raped me threw me pregnant on a street corner near my parents’ house because I was vomiting and sick.” explains.

Today, according to her own words, she has learned to suppress terrifying memories from the past and to come to terms with the reality of that time, but sometimes she still touches it. Sometimes it is said that it is enough for the wrong memory to return to her for a while, and suddenly her body refuses to cooperate, painful feelings return and she has to drive away emotional and physical suffering.
