“I’m honored and excited to celebrate Tony’s 95th birthday with him at these special shows,” Gaga said on Twitter. Bennett also announced the concerts: “It’s been way too long! Are you ready for live music again?”
Bennett turns 95 on August 3. In 2014, he released the album “Cheek to Cheek” with 35-year-old Gaga and the two recently finished their second album.
Earlier this year, Bennett announced to his family that he suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. However, on the advice of his doctors, the multi-award-winning singer continues to make music and perform.
