A significant number of Lada Vesta NG cars coming to dealers are in a state of “understaffing”. About this in a conversation with Autonews declared Alexey Podshchekoldin, head of the Russian Automobile Dealers Association (ROAD). According to him, this affects 60-70% of cars of this model. The main problems are the lack of GLONASS buttons and instrument panel frames.
“I believe that AvtoVAZ should always be morally supported. This is our flagship, but it has a lot of problems, and it’s worth talking about it honestly. Unfortunately, today we cannot sell all the cars that are on the sites, ”stated the head of the ROAD. Instead, dealerships are waiting for the missing parts to be supplied by AvtoVAZ so that they can be installed on the cars themselves. It is planned that sales of already understaffed vehicles will begin in one to two months.
Podshchekoldin expressed support for AvtoVAZ and urged to always provide moral support to this domestic automobile company. However, he also acknowledged that the manufacturer has many problems, and these problems need to be honestly discussed. Today, the situation is such that all the cars that are on dealer sites cannot be sold due to incomplete configurations.
Representatives of the AvtoVAZ press service declined to comment on Podshchekoldin’s opinion. They assured that the new Lada Vesta NG are available in sufficient quantities at Lada dealerships. Difficulties with the supply of individual components will be promptly eliminated, and the situation will not affect the shipment of finished vehicles.
Serial production of the updated Lada Vesta NG was launched in March 2023 in Tolyatti. The cost of a new generation of cars starts from 1.2 million rubles.
According to the manufacturer, the basic Comfort package offers more extensive equipment than some competitors from the older C-segment. Which ones exactly are not specified.
The updated Lada Vesta NG is equipped with front and rear LED optics, two airbags, an ABS system, a steering wheel with height and reach adjustment, power windows, air conditioning and other options. Buyers are offered options with 90 or 106 horsepower engines. Transmission – 5-speed manual.
The company also made changes to the interior of the car, updated the buttons and controls, and added a dedicated space for drinks on the rear doors and a place for a phone and a USB connector in the front. The richest configurations will be equipped with a 10-inch Lada EnjoY Vision Pro screen with Yandex services.
