The refusal of many automakers to sell their cars on the territory of the Russian Federation has led to the fact that a certain niche has formed on the market, which will be occupied by companies from other countries or Russian brands. According to the experts, “AvtoVAZ” could take advantage of the current situation and return some models that were previously considered bestsellers. One of them could be Lada “Kopeyka” 2023. She could become a follower of the classic VAZ-2101. The day before, auto designers posted renders on the Web, which showed what the revived Kopeyka could become.
In general, the car body has a classic shape and practically did not receive fundamental differences from the model that was popular in the 70-80s of the last century. At the same time, a number of design solutions made it possible to modernize the exterior of the VAZ-2101, especially its front end. They suggest the appearance of a new radiator grille with a honeycomb structure, a massive plastic bumper painted in body color, as well as chrome linings that are placed along the edges of the license plate mounting area (photo: Auto Cream).
You can also note the appearance of new side mirrors, more modern door handles and rims. The stern of the car is not reflected in the renders, but it can be assumed that changes in it will affect the shape of the trunk lid, bumper, and lights.

If we assume what kind of power characteristics a Russian car could have, then it is possible that it could get a 1.6-liter engine with 90 horsepower, for which the domestic manufacturer claims a resource of 200 thousand kilometers. Whether this model will ever appear on the market is not known. There is no information about such plans of AvtoVAZ yet.
