Especially for the Lāčplēsis Day concert, Daumants Kalniņš together with piano virtuoso Romāns Vendiņš have created a concert program, which will include both melodies important to the Latvian people, as well as compositions and arrangements created by Daumants Kalniņš.
The singer shares the poetic words of Knut Skujenieks about the upcoming event, which will also be sung in the concert: “A butterfly glows and flares around a hot light bulb, I am not a butterfly, the night must be lived …” also about today’s situation in the world – there are events that need to be experienced.
