A study by psychologists at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus, in partnership with Chinese scientists, and published in the scientific journal ResearchGate, analyzed the love lives of hundreds of couples, identifying more than 78 difficulties they faced.
The investigation involved 1099 volunteers who, regardless of gender, had similar responses after being asked why they had reduced their sexual activity. According to the data released, men were the ones who most admitted to having difficulty investing in the relationship and staying faithful.
Among the reasons cited is lack of time, followed by “bad sex”. About 41% of people pointed to three or more factors as responsible for the lack of sex in the relationship.
Researchers have identified the top ten described causes for lack of sex:
1st place: Lack of enthusiasm
2nd place: Lack of time and space
3rd place: Long working hours
4th place: Bad sex
5th place: Infidelity and abuse
6th place: Identity issues
7th place: Incompatibility
8th place: Children
9th place: Lack of effort
10th place: Non-monogamous
