Reliable pensioners who do not yet have to go to a retirement home but are dependent on support find too few offers in the Freiburg region. A new study shows.
Your own property becomes a burden, climbing stairs is tedious – but a move to an old people’s or nursing home is still a long way off: In Germany there are more and more sprightly pensioners who are looking for barrier-free residential complexes with service and support offers. But these are rare in the region, as a study by Terragon AG shows. The city of Freiburg and the districts of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and Emmendingen also confirm that the demand for such service apartments is significantly higher than the supply.
