Lacalle currently receives a gross income of 864,739.08 Uruguayan pesos (US$20,956.95), although when discounts are applied, his net income is 449,633.90 Uruguayan pesos (US$10,896.87), according to information released by the Presidency of the Republic.
The Uruguayan president pays 115,912 pesos in Montepío, 46,364 for FONASA and 252,828 for personal income tax.
Alejandro Giammattei from Guatemala is the second best paid president with a gross salary of US$19,576,15 and the podium is completed by Gabriel Boric from Chile with US$10,896.87.
