Opened in 2004, Lac des Picades on the road to Brameloup welcomes 10,000 fishermen and strollers every year. For a good cause, the lake will be closed this year to benefit from major works. Indeed, the siltation of the lake caused by the accumulation of sediments had reduced the number of fishing stations by a third. For this reason, the draining of the lake took place to remain dry until the fall. The time to carry out the cleaning of the operation financed by the National Office of Forests.
Specific work will take place in September, such as the installation of a water distributor, followed in the fall by the logging of the trees located on the edge of the lake and the seeding of the lake with rye to diversify the habitats and provide power supply. Finally, the fishing federation points out that the site of Entraygues and that of St-Geniez offer beautiful routes for families. Not to mention the developments underway on the various bodies of water in North Aveyron to remedy the absence of the Lac des Picades.
