The senator of Tarn Philippe Bonnecarrère and David Cucullières, mayor of Labruguière, both accustomed to the courtrooms and the rooms of the lost steps as lawyers, met for a working meeting at the town hall of Labruguière. On the program: a review of the first nine months of office in an unprecedented context and the town’s future prospects.
Thus, the first projects of the new municipal team were mentioned, including the creation of new cycle paths, the conservation and development of the heritage of the municipality with the acquisition of the mansion on Boulevard Gambetta and the opening of the forest of Montaud to the social activities of the citizens.
This meeting made it possible to inform the departmental representative in the Senate of the subsidy files submitted to the State and local communities but also of the difficulties encountered on a daily basis in managing the consequences of the pandemic.
Philippe Bonnecarrère shared his experience in the field and gave valuable advice for the smooth running of a municipality in this particular climate. He assured the commune of Labruguière of his “unwavering support”.
National life was also mentioned, with a shared concern, “to leave to Parliament its role of countervailing power which is essential to the good democratic functioning of our institutions”.
“This type of loyal and direct exchange is an undeniable asset for perpetuating Labruguière’s projects but also for optimally managing the daily life of the municipality,” says David Cuculières. The bonds of trust forged with Philippe Bonnecarrère for several years and the will of the latter to remain in frequent contact with the mayor of Labruguière make it possible to work usefully for the general interest. “
