Labruguière. Nearly 600 runners at the UGSEL cross country

For the second year in a row, Tarn, and more precisely Labruguière, recently welcomed the best UGSEL (General Sports Union of Free Education) runners from all over Occitania. These competitions which bring together private establishments have once again been a great success!

No less than 25 middle schools and 14 high schools from Haute-Garonne, Gard, Hérault, Lozère, but also Aveyron and Tarn-et-Garonne met on the starting line of the park ‘In Laura. Thus, nearly 600 runners jostled and offered beautiful final sprints at the end of their course ranging from 2000 m to 4700 m.

The first start set the tone for the afternoon with 150 young runners from 6th and 5th grade classes. At the end of their effort, as they crossed the finish line, they were able to enjoy a well-deserved hot chocolate. The young Labruguiérois Esteban Vassal distinguished himself in his race by finishing first in his category. Like 8 comrades from Tarn, he will be at the start of the UGSEL national cross which will take place in Pontivy, in Brittany, on December 16.
