A mix of a labrador and a shepherd has the longest dog tongue in the world. The three-year-old dog has been entered into the Guinness Book of World Records with a tongue of 12.7 centimeters.
The black dog, named Zoey, lives with a couple in the US state of Louisiana. The couple immediately noticed that their pet has an extremely long tongue.
Zoey holds the record for the longest tongue on a living dog. Her tongue is longer than a soda can. She broke the existing record of 9.5 centimeters held by dog Bisbee.
The all-time record belongs to a Saint Bernard dog in 2021. It had a tongue no less than 18.6 centimeters long.
