Domestic and foreign musicians, theater, dance and performance artists will perform on five stages of the festival.
For the first time, the festival will take place in July and will gather more than fifty music groups and DJs, as well as theater performances, performances and poetry readings, cinema, creative workshops, sports games, a craft market will be held, the favorite Garden of living dreams and many other creative activities. Festival Two in a row the venue will remain the same – Cēsu county, Līgatne parish, Ratniekos – University of Latvia recreation complex Wheelers. It should be noted that Two in a row is the only big music festival that takes place outside the urban environment and offers holidays close to nature, in the beautiful Gauja National Park.
The Icelandic Electronic Music Association is announced as the first artists of the festival Gus Gus. They started their activity in 1995, when their first album was released Gus Gus12 albums, almost 40 singles and videos have been released so far. Gus Gus discovers a wide world of experimental, intelligent dance music in his music, combining different directions from triphop, techno and house. Gus Gus have also made remixes for Bjork, Depeche Mode, Moloko, Sigur Ros and other well-known artists in the world. At the end of last year, the group released their latest album DanceOramain which the musicians continue to experiment in their musical expressions, going beyond the usual genres.
The musical program of Latvian artists and the names of several more foreign guests will be announced soon. In the big barn or on A dog stage, a wide program of theater, dance shows and performances is planned, while the film program will take place In the cinema hall in cooperation with the Riga International Short Film Festival 2Annas and there will be a specially selected marathon of thematic short films. The LR6 – LU Radio NABA stage and live broadcast studio for 36 hours will not be missing in the central square of the festival.
The festival’s stage program and range of parallel events will be regularly updated and will be available for viewing www.labadaba.lv and on the festival’s social networking platforms.
This year, the festival will implement even more affordable ticketing practices – family-friendly prices – teenage and student ticket categories will be available. As usual, entry is free for children under 13 years of age, and all ticket holders can stay in the tent city at no extra charge. From February 6, tickets at the lowest price for the first 100 interested parties.
