La Wantzenau: “The crisis provoked the wait-and-see attitude of investors”

What are the consequences of the health crisis and of the two successive confinements in your geographic area? Have you observed a particular impact on the real estate market?

The pandemic and the two successive confinements of the year 2020 had a strong impact on the real estate market in La Wantzenau and more generally throughout our area of activity. The market is currently very tight, supply being much lower than demand, which is exponential. We therefore deplore a shortage of goods on the real estate market, which has put a number of acquisition projects on hold. All these conditions ultimately led to the wait-and-see attitude of buyers and investors. From a more positive point of view, the health crisis and the constraints imposed by the Government for the supervision of the visits allowed us to take advantage of all the technological tools that we had at our disposal (photos, videos, drones, etc.) . This digitization allowed us to adapt quickly to what seemed to be a difficulty at first.
