La Tartería, the best place in Valledupar to sweeten your palate

Six months have passed since Jhesandry Carolina Camaño debuted with La Tartería, a dessert shop dedicated to the creation of cakes in three different flavors: classic with matured cheeses, dulce de leche and lemonbecoming an irresistible product for dessert lovers in Valledupar.

It was four months of “try and failure” those he invested with his mother to prepare the recipes for the products that he offers to the public today, being an example of perseverance and dedication for entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, fulfilling the dream she had since she was a teenager: to become a renowned pastry chef.

My love for cooking began when I was 13 years old. I would come home from school and start watching baking shows. When I left school I told my mother that I wanted to be a pastry chef, “I started studying at Uparsistem Cocina and graduated as the best in my class, then I went to live in Barranquilla and returned to Valledupar to set up my business,” Caamano said.

At the moment La Tartería is a hidden kitchen, but in the medium term Camaño plans to open its first physical point in the city. It currently offers the cakes in two presentations: personal portion for $14,000 and large for $105,000.
