Friday evening, three vehicles collided on the A1 highway between Yverdon and Lausanne. Several wounded are to be deplored.

On Friday, around 9:40 p.m. on the A1 motorway between Yverdon-les-Bains and Lausanne, near La Sarraz, the driver of a passenger car registered in the canton of Vaud was surprised by the slowdown in traffic due to a work area, bidirectional. Her vehicle struck the car registered in Germany, which was in front of her. Under the effect of the shock, the latter in turn collided with the Vaud-type vehicle in front. Following these collisions, traffic was completely interrupted on this motorway axis, according to a press release from the Vaud cantonal police.
Several people were killed in this accident, including a woman of around 50, living in the Lausanne region, who was seriously injured. Two children, 4 and 8 years old, who were in the car with German plates, were also injured. They must have been jailed. The days of the three victims are not in danger. The driver of 3e vehicle, a man of around 50, domiciled in the canton of Vaud, was not injured.
The A1 motorway was closed until 6 a.m. for operational purposes. The DELESTA traffic management plan has been activated. The duty prosecutor opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of this accident.
