In compliance with the Baja California Cultural Heritage Preservation Law and following the Declaration of La Rumorosa, as an Area of ​​Natural and Cultural Beauty; the Secretary General of the Government of the entity, Amador Rodrguez Lozano, explained that the polygon to be declared consists of 11 thousand hectares that minimally impact the lands of the Jacum, Emiliano Zapata-La Rosita, Cordillera Molina and Gustavo Aubanel ejidos. We are talking about that, on average, less than three percent of the area that was granted to the ejidos is the object of said Declaration.

In addition to highlighting that the declaration adheres to articles five and six of the aforementioned Law, the official recalled that State Cultural Heritage Council It is a collegiate body made up of members of various public agencies, which guarantees that a panel of technical experts will determine the origin of the Declaration in accordance with the best practices in historiography, geology, architecture, ecology and culture, among others.

For his part, Secretary of Culture and general director of the Institute of Culture, Pedro Ochoa Palacio, pointed out that even when the ICBC has the function of instructing the procedure, the technical opinion, the viability of the Declaration and the approval of this, is in charge of the Council of Cultural Heritage of the entity.
