La Puerta Teatro presents theatrical play: “Scratch, where the mask does not itch”

On Thursday, June 2 at 8:00 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the Salto del Cenur Litoral Norte headquarters of the University of the Republic, the work “Rascar, where the mask does not itch” will be presented in its premiere for Uruguay, by the group The Theater Door. The function is open to the public and with free admission.
A CYBORG-CULTURAL WORK
The La Puerta Teatro group is from the city of Concordia, Entre Ríos, Argentina, and has already made a presentation of the play “La puerta secreta” at our university headquarters in 2019 on the occasion of the 1st Regional Theater Meeting. “In a dystopian world, cold cyborg comedians tirelessly make different videos that are broadcast live by Streaming. Both for the public present, and for those who watch it on the Internet, it is an unavoidable cyborg-cultural event. Pure nostalgia for a world that no longer exists, but also, a resistant drive of the human that, by remaining, scratches”. The play is the result of two years of stage research on the approach to dramatic tension between bodies and dramatic tension in discourse. So we find ourselves with a story of fragmented scenes, where actresses and actors embody different characters, with a minimalist and dreamlike staging. The work intends to reflect on the indisputable technological advance both in our social practices and in our own bodies.
