The Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare (MSPyBS) announced that from October 18 to 22, the days of application of the first, second and third doses of anti-COVID vaccines will be intense.

They will apply the first dose to those 18 to 29 years old, who will receive the biologicals corresponding to the Pfizer and Sputnik V platforms; while Modern will apply to pregnant women 18 years of age and older with 20 weeks of gestation.

Vaccination will be carried out through community outings or vaccination brigades, according to the programming of the health regions, and will be applied until the stock is exhausted. First doses will be applied to those 29 years of age and older, who will receive the anti-COVID vaccines corresponding to the AstraZeneca platform.

During the week of October 18 to 22, second doses will also be applied from the Pfizer platforms, for whom they were applied until September 20; Astrazeneca, for those who received the first dose until September 6; Moderna, for those who received until last September 20; Sputnik V, for those who received until August 30, and Coronavac, for those who completed a month of application of the first dose.

In the immunization campaign with second doses, the completion of the identity card will be taken into account for a better organization and to avoid crowds at the vaccination posts. In this sense, for Monday 18 people with termination 0 and 1 are summoned, on Tuesday 19 people with termination 2 and 3, while on Wednesday 20 those with termination 4 and 5 are summoned.

For Thursday, October 21, those persons with terminations 6 and 7 are summoned; While on Friday, October 22, those people with termination 8 and 9 must go to the vaccination posts. All of them, for the application of the second dose and thus complete their vaccination schedule against the coronavirus.

It is important to remember that the people who will come for the first dose must register in advance by entering the link: www.vacunate.gov.py, for a good logistical control, in order to have the necessary biologicals in each sanitary and vaccination region, there too You will find the list of vaccinations available in your area. Likewise, those who come for the second dose must present the vaccination card, or if they lost, request a new one with the identity card number

The National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19 incorporates the third dose application strategy, specifically to vulnerable people, those aged 50 and over and those who are highly exposed to the virus, such as white personnel. The interval between the application of the second and third doses is six months, they explained.

All those who have completed their vaccination schedule with the two doses of the anti-COVID vaccine until April 30, and are health personnel or are 50 years of age or older, will receive a third dose. The application will start on Monday, October 18 and will run until Friday, October 22.

In this sense, those who have received the vaccines from the Coronavac, Covaxin, Sinopharm and HayatVax platforms will receive the AstraZeneca vaccines, while health personnel up to 29 years of age will receive the Pfizer as a third dose. Those who received the first and second doses of the AstraZeneca and Sputnik V platforms will receive the Pfizer as the third dose.

For the third dose, on Monday, October 18, people with a certificate ending in 0 and 1 are summoned, for Tuesday 19 those with a termination 2 and 3 are summoned, while on Wednesday, October 20, those with a termination number 4 and 5.
