The secretary of the Center for Retirees and Retirees of the Social Security Institute (IPS), Juan Estigarribia, stressed that he had mobilized yesterday against the lack of medicines and supplies in the social security system, despite repeated complaints and claims to the authorities. They also reject the loan project that the authorities of the pension institution want to carry out.

“One of the main points is the non-use of pension funds of pensioners and retirees of the Social Insurance Institute (IPS). The second point of the complaint is the impossibility of obtaining a call center shift, it is impossible to enter it “, explained the representative in communication with the 1080 AM radio.

Estigarribia indicated that so far no one knows what the authorities of the Social Welfare Institute want to do with pensioners’ money and, given this situation, they have decided to go out and protest.

“The third point of the complaint was the lack of medicines that gets worse every day in the IPS, every day there is a shortage of medicines in the Social Security Institute. Now they are trying to lend money on a bill to pay off their debts and we don’t know what happened to the money because IPS collects millions of dollars every month, ”she added.

The plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies approved the postponement of the discussion of the project that authorizes the Social Security Institute (IPS) to take out loans to cover a debt of 243 million dollars with pharmaceutical companies and could be analyzed in ordinary session on Wednesday .
