“Dose is the result of several other projects that began in the nineties, until the year 2000 when the band originated. The project was stopped for a long time and resumed in 2021, when we joined the Nelson brothers and David Marín, the bassist Miguel Scura, and we began to go out and play in some Asunción venues in a rather difficult post-pandemic environment of the covid. We immediately set about recording our own songs in Kamikaze”, comments Nelson Marín, a member of the Dosis group, which will premiere its first record on streaming platforms on February 1.
Nelson remembers that the interpretation of contemporary music classics was always accompanied by the dream of recording his own songs, a work that is now in final form.
“The sound is, you could say, quite rustic, because of the basic instruments we use. We could classify it in the rock genre, above all”, explains the band member.
“Dose” will be the name of the work that has a total of 6 songs created, arranged and performed by the band.
“The theme of the lyrics vary between an internal look and expression of each of the members, since they are creations of all the members,” he added.
In this regard, Dosis contributes a look at the national social reality from rock, and in this way also expresses his feelings and his commitment to it.
Although the group does not assume a theme as promotional, from now on it will focus on the task of recording the video clip of the song “Nothing to be worse”, “which has already been sounding like a curtain on the news, every time a conflict breaks out in our country, as protests or in that burning of Congress, therefore, I invite you to listen to it to better understand our message”, explains the musician.
