La Nación / Deputy denies links with the drug clan and says that the raided property was sold two years ago

Colorado deputy Erico Galeano called a press conference through his lawyers on the raid carried out in the luxurious Aqua Village condominium, where an Ande invoice in his name was found in one of the luxurious homes this Saturday. The parliamentarian denied having links with the Insfrán clan, which presumably heads a network dedicated to drug trafficking and money laundering that was uncovered after the mega-operation Py at all costs.

The lawyer Cristóbal Cáceres pointed out that Galeano had bought the property from Inmobiliaria Raíces in 2018 and in October 2020 he sold the property, which in turn is again sold to a third person, who is the one investigated in the framework of the operative at all costs Py. He explained that although the documentation was done, what was not done was the transfer.

The lawyer added that Galeano had no dealings with the fugitive pastor Miguel Insfrán and that his client makes himself available to the Prosecutor’s Office. The lawyer spoke that a transfer of the property that belonged to the parliamentarian was made and that he finally sold it to González Ramos. He added that his client complied with his obligations in the sale of the property; however, he stated that the transfer of the house has not yet materialized to date.

Officials from the National Anti-Drug Secretariat (Senad) and the Prosecutor’s Office raided three residences located between the cities of San Bernardino and Altos, department of Cordillera, where there was a ballot in the name of the parliamentarian. The lawyers pointed out that the deputy sold one of these three residences for USD 1 million, his property to Hugo González Ramos, one of those accused of money laundering and criminal association, a fugitive and with an arrest warrant as a result of A ultranza PY.

“This sale was made on October 14, 2020. All these documents are going to be made available to the authorities. There is no link between Mr. Erico and Mr. Insfrán. The assignor and the assignee are Galeano y González. Not only is there no link, but no conversation between Galeano and Insfrán, who is the person designated by González to be transferred (the house),” said Cáceres.

Ande’s invoice was found in the name of deputy Galeano in the raided residence and would belong to Insfrán. Cáceres affirmed that the person under investigation must be González, since his client left the property two years ago. “First thing Tuesday morning we are going to present this documentation to the Prosecutor’s Office and we are going to be available to the authorities,” said Cáceres.

Three residences were raided in the condominium and only one person was found in a single house, who would be the maid, who reported that the house was rented for recreational purposes to different citizens. The house in question is the closest to an artificial lagoon inside the condominium.
