Caution was advised at La Maladrerie before this 6th round of the Coupe de France. Vincent Laigneau, the Caen coach, called for vigilance against an opponent from two lower divisions certainly, but who was just as determined to qualify. The hierarchy was still respected since it was the Caennais who left with the qualification (0-3).

The quick score opener that changes everything

Well into their match, Vincent Laigneau’s men were able to force the Ornes barrier after just ten minutes through Nathan Laigneau (0-1, 10′). Half an hour later, it’s Hakim Kadrejnane, who had already delivered Maladrerie in the league last week, which doubled the stakes and allowed the Caennais to return to the locker room with a two-goal lead (0-2, 40′).

After the break, La Maladrerie added a goal to take cover for good with a goal from Crespo Keita before the hour mark (0-3, 54′). FC Pays Aiglon fails to save the honor and leans logically after a great journey.

In the next round, Maladrerie will be able to face all the other qualified teams without geographical limitation. Including the Ligue 2 teams, which enter the fray in the 7th round.
