The long ride of Itas Trentino in the 2021/22 SuperLega Credem Banca championship ends one step away from qualifying for the Play Off Scudetto Final. Tonight Lorenzetti’s team did not manage to breach, for the second time in two weeks, the Eurosuole Forum of Civitanova Marche in Game 5 of the Semifinal; by relying on the home factor, it was the reigning Italian Champion Cucine Lube who closed the series at 3-2 in their favor, thanks to the success at the tie break obtained tonight in comeback, and to detach the pass for the tricolor challenge with Perugia .
The Gialloblù however came out to the applause of the over three thousand five hundred spectators present because, as often happened during these Play Offs, they sold their skin dearly until the end, confirming the exponential growth of the last months and now they will be able to concentrate all the their energies on the most awaited appointment of the entire Club season, represented by the SuperFinals of 2022 CEV Champions League, scheduled in Ljubljana (Slovenia) on 22 May against the reigning European Champions of Kedzierzyn-Kozle.
With the determination and character displayed during all the previous fifty games, Kaziyski and his teammates were able to surprise their opponents in the first and third sets with starts of absolute quality in every fundamental; ahead 2-1, the Gialloblù suffered the vehement return of the reigning Italian Champions, passed through the hands of De Cecco, the attacks of Garcia and the total performance of Simon (20 personal points). Best scorer of his Kaziyski (scored 22 times with 50%), followed one point behind Lisinac, spectacular with 72% in the first half and six personal blocks. The captain and the Serbian central were the last to give up, in a match in which Michieletto’s star returned to shine (11 with 53% at goal). However, the bitterness for the elimination does not cancel the satisfaction for qualifying for the 2023 CEV Champions League, actually detached this evening thanks to the simultaneous passage of the round in the Perugia Scudetto Final against Modena.
