The Municipality of Peñalolén, through its Cultural Corporation, is pleased to announce the return of La Lluvia de Teatro Infantil, a cycle of theatrical shows specially designed for girls and boys. The fifth edition of this event will take place from July 4 to 16, presenting various works in two venues: the San Luis Civic and Cultural Center and the Chimkowe Cultural Center.
The first stop of the Theater Rain will be at the San Luis Civic and Cultural Center, located at Avda. Las Torres #5555, from July 4 to 7. The second week, from July 11 to 14, the venue will be the Chimkowe Cultural Center, located at Avda. Grecia #8787. Each performance will be at 4:00 p.m. The works are suitable for the whole family, but will be especially focused on children. Admission is free and no prior registration is required to participate.
La Lluvia de Teatro Infantil is an initiative of the Municipality of Peñalolén developed through its Cultural Corporation since 2016. The main objective of this cycle of children’s theater, which consists of 8 performances in total, is to encourage the participation of children and girls in cultural instances, generating new audiences and opening spaces for entertainment during the winter holidays.
Theater sparks the imagination, stimulates emotional development, improves communication and language skills, and promotes connection to culture. That is why the Municipality of Peñalolén seeks to bring culture closer to the children of the commune, offering them a significant artistic experience that contributes to their growth and integral development.
“In these winter holidays, it is important to have cultural initiatives that are a family scene, with an emphasis on the children of Peñalolén,” said the mayor of Peñalolén, Carolina Leitao. “We want to offer Peñalolinas families a quality cultural offer and free access, demonstrating our commitment to human development and the promotion of the arts in our commune.”
La Lluvia de Teatro Infantil is part of the municipal policies that seek to generate and ensure spaces and cultural experiences for the children of Peñalolén, influencing their educational and human development. Likewise, this theater festival is aligned with the 2021-2024 municipal project, promoting artistic appreciation, audience training and childhood development.
