La Liga reacts to Christian Eriksen incident in Denmark against Finland

La Liga clubs and players have reacted unanimously in their support for Danish international Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen demanded CPR on the field after collapsing just before half-time in Denmark’s Euro 2020 opener against Finland in Copenhagen.

Medical personnel rushed onto the Parken stadium grounds as Danish players formed a wall around them during the incident.

The Danish FA has confirmed that the former Tottenham midfielder regained consciousness after initial treatment on the field before being transferred to hospital for further testing.

After their condition stabilized, the Danes opted to complete the full 90 minutes in the Danish capital, with Finland winning 1-0.

Soccer has come together to deliver messages of heartfelt support for the 29-year-old, with some of Spain’s personalities joining the combined voices of support.

Denmark has yet to confirm the next step in Eriksen’s recovery, but it is unlikely that he will return to Euro 2020 with Kasper Hjulmand’s team ready to face Belgium and Russia.
