La Jornada – Vaccination against Covid-19 from 18 to 29 years old begins in Ecatepec

Ecatepec, Mex. Authorities announced the vaccination of young people between 18 and 29 years of age from Ecatepec against Covid-19, in its first dose, which will take place from October 18 to 27.

The mayor, Fernando Vilchis Contreras pointed out that the vaccination of young people will be carried out in alphabetical order: on October 18, people whose paternal surname begins with A and B; October 19, C and D; October 20, E and F; October 21, G and H; October 22, I, J and K; October 23, L, M and N; October 24, Ñ, O and P; October 25, Q, R and S; October 26, T, U and V, and October 27, W, X, Y and Z.

For the inoculation, 10 modules will be enabled, located in the Las Américas Cultural and Sports Center (1 and 2), Las Américas Multisport, the Emiliano Zapata and Bicentenario sports centers, the civic centers of the Melchor Múzquiz, Río de Luz and El Chamizal colonies; the Chiconautlán 3000 center and the Valle de Ecatepec State University (Uneve).

The vaccination will be only for residents of Ecatepec and applicants must present a printed format with the QR code of the site www.mivacuna.salud.gob.mx, official identification with photograph and address, CURP and original proof of address, the latter to corroborate residence in the municipality.

The authorities reported that the inhabitants of Ecatepec between 30 and 39 years of age are currently being immunized with the second dose of AstraZeneca, on a day that began on October 7 and will end on October 13; On the second day of the day to this sector of the population, 26,800 people were vaccinated, for a total of 54,490 people benefited so far.

In Ecatepec, 477 thousand 505 inhabitants over 60 years of age, 50 to 59 years and 40 to 49 years have a complete vaccination scheme, while 679 thousand 574 have the first dose, for a total of one million 156 thousand 79 immunized people.
