The Prosecutor’s Office for the Investigation of Sexual Crimes began an investigation folder for criminal news against the former official and television host Andrés Roemer, for the possible commission of the crime of sexual abuse to the detriment of a woman.
According to sources consulted, the agent of the Public Ministry gave intervention to investigative police to carry out the corresponding investigations against the former Unesco Goodwill Ambassador.
So far, they noted, the victim has not come to testify and if she does, she will be granted legal and psychological support during all the proceedings, which will be carried out with a gender perspective, a differential and specialized approach.
The alleged victim, the dancer Itzel Schnaas, in a video released on YouTube on February 15, denounced that she suffered sexual harassment by Roemer, in addition to other complaints from victims, some of whom have decided to reveal their names and experiences in social networks.
