La Jornada – Pedro Muñoz, former president of Spanish tennis, dies

Madrid. The former president of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET) Pedro Muñoz died yesterday at the age of 72 because of the coronavirus, as reported by the Castilla y León-Villa de El Espinar Open, a tournament he created and of which he was his honorary holder , where Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Juan Martín del Potro, Emilio Sánchez Vicario, Fernando Verdasco and Andy Murray took their first steps as professionals.
