La Jornada – Morelos accumulates two thousand 588 deaths from Covid-19

Cuernavaca, Mor. Since the state of Morelos returned to the orange color of the Covid-19 risk traffic light on February 15, in this entity until Friday, March 12, 3 thousand 844 more cases have been confirmed and 419 deaths of people have been registered during the last 26 days that this entity has remained in the color orange.

In other words, if we divide the 419 deaths of people between the 26 days, it reveals that 16.1 people died each day from February 15 to March 12. A high number of deaths of people, taking into account that according to since February 15 to date, Morelos remains in the orange color of the Covid-19 risk traffic light.

According to the figures reported daily by the Ministry of Health, on February 14 in Morelos there were 24 thousand 551 confirmed cases of Covid-19, and until that date, two thousand 169 deaths of people from this virus.

From February 15 to Friday March 12, according to the latest bulletin from the Ministry of Health, 28,395 cases have been confirmed and 2,588 people have died from SARS-CoV-2.

The federal health authorities also announced, last Friday, that Morelos will continue from March 15 to 28 in the orange color of the SARS-CoV-2 risk traffic light.

Daniel Alberto Madrid González, general director of Coordination and Supervision of the Ministry of Health, reported last Friday that the last confirmed patients in the last 24 hours are 121 women and 122 men, that is to say, of a total of 243 new infections.

Meanwhile, the new deaths reported by the Ministry of Health last Friday, March 12, were 10 people, 5 men and 5 women, the same people who suffered, among other diseases, hypertension, diabetes and obesity.

Madrid González mentioned that, “of the 28,395 confirmed cases, 83 percent are recovered, four percent are in home isolation, another four percent are in hospital, while nine percent have unfortunately died.”

For this long weekend, the general director of Coordination and Supervision of the Ministry of Health urged to maintain sanitary measures at all times and respect the economic and social activities established in the Covid-19 risk traffic light.
