La Jornada – Minors with comorbidities will be vaccinated in 10 municipalities of Edomex

Ecatepec, Mex. Authorities announced the application of the Covid-19 vaccine for minors between 12 and 17 years of age who present some comorbidity or risk factor and who live in 10 municipalities in the northeastern part of the state, from Tuesday 16 to Friday 19 of November.

In a statement they indicated that the municipalities where the inoculation will take place are: Ecatepec, Coacalco, Zumpango, Tecámac, Acolman, Nezahualcóyotl, Los Reyes, Nextlalpan, Tonanitla and Jaltenco.

They explained that for this day 10 venues will be enabled where it will be attended from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The venues are: IMSS Family Medicine Unit No. 77, the Xalostoc Family Medicine Clinic of the ISSSTE, the ISSEMYM Medical Center and the ISEM Adolescent House, located in Ecatepec.

In addition to the Family Medicine Unit 198 of the IMSS of Coacalco, the Zumpango Regional Hospital of High Specialty of the ISEM, the Family Medicine Unit 75 of the IMSS and the Pantitlán Family Medicine Clinic of the ISSSTE in Nezahualcóyotl; the Los Reyes Maternal and Child Hospital of the ISEM in Los Reyes la Paz and the Specialized Center for Primary Care at La Alborada in Jaltenco.

They affirmed that all children and adolescents residing in the entity who meet the established age and comorbidity conditions will be immunized, presenting identification (CURP, Birth Certificate), printed vaccination record of the site www.mivacuna.salud.gob.mx and certificate issued by your treating physician stating the diagnosis according to the causes of comorbidity and conditions subject to vaccination.

They added that the diseases or risk factors that will be considered to receive the first dose are moderate to severe immunosuppression, serious genetic abnormalities that affect various systems, pregnant adolescents, chronic heart conditions, chronic lung disease, chronic kidney, liver or system disorders. digestive, chronic neurological disease, asplenia or spleen dysfunction, and hematological as well as endocrine diseases.

Authorities called for minors to come accompanied by an adult, preferably their mother, father or guardian; also respect preventive health measures such as the correct use of face masks, masks or goggles, application of antibacterial gel and maintain a healthy distance.
