La Jornada – Mexico has received 3.5 million pediatric anticovid vaccines from Covax

Mexico City. With the arrival of 1.2 million pediatric coronavirus vaccines this morning, the country has received 3.5 million of the just over 10 million doses acquired by Mexico, through the Covax mechanism, the Ministry of Health reported (SSa ).

Meanwhile, 1,403 cases of covid-19 and 9 deaths have been confirmed today, with which there are a total of 7.59.936 people who have had the infection confirmed by laboratory tests and 329.767 who lost their lives for it.

This afternoon’s SSa report indicates that hospital occupancy remains at 4% for communal beds and 1% for those with ventilators.

As regards the vaccination trend, it should be noted that the coverage of children aged 5 to 11 has an advance of 47 percent with at least one dose, and among adolescents aged 12 to 17 it is 64 percent.
