Mexico City. The Ministry of Health (Ssa) reported that the deaths confirmed by Covid-19 in Mexico increased by 832 between Friday and Saturday, while the estimated cases increased by 7,667, for a total of 2,233,973.
In an afternoon conference at the National Palace, Christian Arturo Zaragoza, director of Epidemiological Information, explained that at the end of epidemiological week 7 (February 14 to 20) of 2021, a reduction of 20 percent in estimated cases is maintained, while the estimated assets total 56 thousand 533, which represents 3 percent of the total.
Regarding the availability of general beds, he indicated that there are only three entities with an occupancy of between 69 and 50 percent, while 29 states have less than half of their beds occupied. The national occupancy average, he said, is 35 percent.
Regarding beds with a fan, he highlighted that there is no state with more than 70 percent occupancy, and only Mexico City remains with 65 percent saturation, while the national occupancy rate stands at 38 percent. .
In a participation by remote link, José Luis Alomía, general director of Epidemiology, detailed the progress of the National Vaccination Strategy with 55 thousand 742 doses applied this Saturday. He added that the accumulated total is one million 656 thousand 304 applied doses, of which 445 thousand 418 correspond to second doses.
