La Jornada – Cardinal Felipe Arizmendi is vaccinated against Covid-19

Mexico City. After being immunized, Cardinal Felipe Arizmendi Esquivel called for vaccination against SARS-CoV-2, because it is an action “for the common good.”

“To those who distrust vaccines, I encourage you to receive them. They don’t have a chip to control us. They are not a strategy to dominate us, or to make us sick, but to help us in our health. I recommend them with confidence. The sacrifices for waiting are few, compared to the good that is received, “he told La Jornada.

The bishop emeritus of San Cristóbal de las Casas was vaccinated yesterday in Toluca.

“I share that this morning I received the Pfizer vaccine, at the Music Conservatory, at the Centro Cultural Mexiquense, in the city of Toluca. From when I lined up to the exit, we lasted less than two hours. Almost an hour walking in line with the people, but all very well organized ”.

He narrated that “thousands of people are arriving to receive the vaccine, in great order, thanks to the good state and municipal organization” and said that he received “a receipt for the next dose. I encourage everyone to get vaccinated, when it’s time. It is for the common good ”.

The prelate lives in Toluca, and said that in that city “the organization has been extraordinary: many personnel from the municipal and state government, to attend to everything that was offered. I saw coordination between everyone and that expedited the vaccination. Thousands of people, but everything in an organized way, without problems ”.

In addition, Nadine Gasman, president of the National Institute of Women (Inmujeres), said on her Twitter account that yesterday she was vaccinated. “I live in the @AlcaldiaMHmx and my last name begins with G, so today I got the # COVID19 vaccine. I was delighted by the organization and good treatment of the health personnel of the @gobcmdx. Congratulations, @Claudiashein for such good attention ”.

He said that “on average the people trained were only trained for 1.5 hours, we received a snack, we danced, we exercised and all the people were very attentive.”
