La Jornada – Atlas and Toluca remain undefeated in the women’s league

Women’s Atlas managed to maintain its unbeaten streak in the 2021 Guardianes tournament after rescuing the 3-3 draw against Pachuca with an agonizing goal, yesterday in a duel on date five played at the Colomos facilities.

Las Tuzas imposed conditions from the beginning, as just at minute 16 they opened the scoring through Mónica Ocampo. Just two minutes later, at 18, Pachuca extended their lead 2-0 thanks to a goal from Esbeydi Salazar.

The second half developed with intensity until at minute 90, when everything indicated that Pachuca would stay with the victory, the red-black Valeria Razo finished in the area to get the final 3-3.

Toluca also remained undefeated after beating Puebla 2-1 at the Metepec facilities with goals from Natalia Mauleon and Yamanic Martínez, in the 20th and 60th minutes, respectively. For the La Franja box, Ibeth López scored at 57.

At the Victoria Stadium, América added their second victory after defeating Necaxa 1-0 thanks to a goal from Mayra Pelayo-bernal, at minute 73.

In turn, León beat Santos Laguna 2-1 at the Nou Camp with goals from Yazmín Álvarez, at minute 4, and Daniela Calderón, at 58. Cinthya Peraza scored for the Guerreras, at 68.

Finally, the Rayadas de Monterrey team beat Cruz Azul 5-1.
