La Jornada – A young man is vaccinated in Morelos, he faints and crashes his car; there are 6 injured

A young man identified as Uriel “N”, 19 years old, and who received the Covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday at the vaccination center of the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos (UAEM) fainted and hit his vehicle against another leaving six injured.

Witnesses indicated that after being vaccinated the subject lost consciousness and unconsciously stepped on the accelerator and hit another unit where young people were traveling who were just arriving at the immunization center.

After receiving the biological in his car, the man along with three people waited a few minutes at the headquarters in case they had any reaction.

The boys came this Tuesday to be inoculated with the dose of Pfizer at the vaccination center where the vaccine is applied to young people between 18 and 29 years old from August 30 to September 2 in Cuernavaca.

Uriel “N” was taken to the hospital along with the driver of the other vehicle.

The mayor of this Tamaulipas municipality, Arturo Sanmiguel Cantú, urged the population to maintain sanitary measures to reduce the number of infections against Covid-19 because in the last two weeks there have been 39 deaths.

“I urge the public to close ranks in this fight against the virus. We are going to comply with all the measures that we already know and that the State Government has asked us to do, because it is the only way to stop infections and deaths, ”said the mayor.

The municipal health director, Alejandro Cervantes, mentioned that at the end of epidemiological week 33, 225 positive cases were registered in the city and currently 34 with 187, which marks a slight decrease.

“As for deaths, it has been two difficult weeks, at the beginning of epidemiological week 33 we registered 803 deaths due to the virus, and by week 34 there were 823 deaths,” he commented.

Throughout the pandemic, 6,250 positive cases have been registered in this municipality, of which 5,240 have been recovered and 66 are under investigation, he added.
