Mexico City. In the last 24 hours, 19 thousand 346 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Mexico, which has accumulated 2 million 810 thousand 97 infections since the health crisis began.

In its daily technical report on the evolution of the epidemic, the Ministry of Health indicates that in total, 240 thousand 456 deaths have been registered, 459 more than the day before.

The national hospital occupancy of general beds continues to rise, reaching 46 percent, two points more than yesterday. Meanwhile, ventilator beds have a national occupancy rate of 38 percent.

The number of people who started with symptoms in the last 14 days, and who are considered active cases, adds up to 121,759.

Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Jalisco, Nuevo León, Veracruz, Sinaloa, Guerrero, Quintana Roo, Tabasco and Nayarit are the entities with the highest number of active cases (with more than 3,000 each), followed by San Luis Potosí, Sonora, Oaxaca, Guanajuato, Baja California Sur, Hidalgo, Michoacán, Colima, Yucatán, Puebla, Querétaro, Tamaulipas, Coahuila, Durango and Zacatecas. 96 percent of the country’s cases are concentrated in these states.

On Thursday, 1 million 120 thousand 776 vaccines were applied in the country, with which 65 million 631 thousand 680 doses have already been administered since the National Vaccination Strategy began.

With them, 45 million 952 thousand 314 people have been vaccinated, and of them, 56 percent have a full vaccination scheme and 44 percent have a half scheme.
