La Grande-Motte featured in the New York Times

A major photography project is based on a series of photographs taken by Parisian photographers Laurent Kronental and Charly Broyez, architectural experts. Their project, titled The Oasis Villagebrings together 72 film images highlighting not only the futuristic architecture of La Grande-Motte, but also the natural environment, especially the Etang de l’Or, the marshes and the Petite Camargue.

La Grande-Motte is a universal work of architecture, which marked a turning point to postmodernism. This recognition across borders thus confirms the importance of the work of its main architect, Jane Balladur. The appeal of the 2024 Olympic Games has given France a new international visibility, especially among the American public, paving the way for the rediscovery of La Grande-Motte in the years to come.
