if someone had to smart in La Gonzlez (Ourense, 1993) surely he would do it by combining pastel tones with electric, metallic colors, using the mixed technique and collage. Just like she does in her play. And it is that she is a bit like that, a shy and sweet person capable of exploding like fireworks through her own work. I focus on developing social projects and getting to execute them. I love creating artistic ideas and actions with impact, that have a small impact on the world, she explains. Her love for what she does arose when she was still a child. My father was also a plastic artist, Rafael Terrachn, and my mother was a crafts teacher, so I grew up surrounded by paintings. Creative expression was instilled in us as a game, a constant exploration, she says. From their afternoons in her father’s studio and summers running around Entrimo, her urge to communicate creatively was born. She studied at the Superior School of Design in Madrid and after that she returned to Ourense. When I left the city, I reconnected very strongly with nature and I needed to go back, work with organic materials and continue building plastic, she admits. Her first project was the materialization of her final degree project. It is an illustrative book and it is called The Begginning. It is a metaphor for the origin of the world. An egg explodes and life and a new universe of birds are born from it. It is precisely a bird that runs through the entire book, which unfolds and ends up becoming a bird suit, he says. It has realistic proportions and is adapted to a modular grid. A project that he managed in the space of coworking Magma from Ourense and whose logistical effort was very complex due to the productive characteristics of the book. He admits to her that what he likes most about her work is the creative process. That is where you get lost, you start to search, to try and where the magic of art lies, she affirms.

After the bookwhich can be purchased in bookstores and cultural spaces such as the EnOu store in the Plaza Mayor, another of his most special projects has arrived: Nada. An exhibition at the Museum of decorative arts Madrid, where he captured his artistic and social conclusions after touring 14 countries in just one month. A trip that took her through Japan, New York, Cuba… I learned that there are many contrasts from one place to another, that the world is very diverse and that reality is very harsh, she admits. It is also true that her budget was that of a grant for young creation of about 2,000 euros and she barely had any luggage. She arrived very excited and discovered that ingenuity and attitude are often more valuable than big funding, she concludes.

She is part of Ensaia, an organization that tries to promote young talent in Galicia. She is immersed in her next project. It is closely linked to mental evasion because I believe that art has a restorative power, she advances. To take a break from the screen, she makes moths, small artistic pieces in the shape of these insects that she sticks in the different cities she travels through. Made of bright, colored papers, in incredible abstract combinations, they can also be purchased. I connect very well with scissors and the animal world attracts my attention. Moths are my pain reliever, finish.
