For the second time of the’yeara blood donation congress is organized at the Calf hall from La Ferte-Gaucher. But for the first time since the start of the health crisis, the donors will be able to meet et enjoy homemade sandwiches by the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors (ADSB) locale. “Blood donation day will be friendly again”rejoices the president of the ADSB fertoise, Martine Grillers.
Also exceptionally, the 80 to 90 volunteers expected by the French blood establishment will have to travel this Wednesday, May 4, and not Thursday.
Fewer donors
Whether at the departmental, regional level, or even in La Ferté-Gaucher, there are fewer donors this year. Martine Grillers wonders about making appointments via the Internet, launched recently by the EFS: “This may be one of the problems for some people. This is also why the EFS accepts unscheduled donors, despite its creation of arrival announcements. In any case, the head of ADSB fertoise is not worried: “at least 90%” of donors are faithful.
