The objective was to complete the 2020 harvest, for which, it made a millionaire investment that allowed it to rebuild the sector devastated by the fire, among them, the boiler, plant and laboratory sections, whose amount exceeded 7 million dollars. Also noteworthy is the work of the Productora del Noroeste SA (Pronosa) board of directors, responsible for the production of the fields that, foreseeing a promising future, made the investment of 7 million dollars in land, new plantations, fertilization, repairs, acquisition of new machinery, among others. Without a doubt, the most important achievement was to travel this year in the middle of a pandemic that hit the whole world, strictly complying with the protocol and biosafety standards, for the care of personnel, not having to mourn the death of no worker due to Covid-19.

Thus, five days before the end of November, the siren marked the end of the 2020 harvest, in the emblematic mill that, during the pandemic, left behind the situation of abandonment due to the divestment carried out during the long period of bankruptcy, of more than twenty years. Investment and production

Regarding the investments made, they realized that, after the raging fire, the boiler section suffered serious structural damage that left it inoperative, therefore, the investments were made so that it can operate and start the harvest, starting with the dismantling and subsequent assembly of the boiler structure, engineering and start-up of the steam generation control system. They stated that the investments allowed lower costs since gas is no longer used, being replaced by renewable fuel. Work was also carried out on the construction and feeding system of bagasse for the four boilers, the modification of the harrow, corridors, collection and distribution of steam, as well as the adequate distribution to the new structure of the boiler and the incorporation of a dosing device bagasse.

Work was done on setting up the laboratory and there was a significant investment in the plant section. The Pronosa company, the company name that deals with field production, made an investment of 7 million dollars to recover land, carry out plantations, fertilize more than 390 thousand furrows, and remove abandoned equipment. Repairs to pumps, motors, equipment movements were carried out. They invested in the GPS control system, and in the software room code that makes those systems. Another important measure was the acquisition of levelers, tractors, among other machines. It should be noted that both for the factory and in the field, a large amount of labor was used, opening the possibility of work.
