The space for entrepreneurship and teleworking in Haute Bigorre, “La Dynamo”, has just opened its doors in Bagnères-de-Bigorre. This “proxi-work” place is also a gateway to the CCHB’s brand new “bicycle, outdoor and mobility” center.
Six private offices for twelve workstations, two meeting rooms, four modular production workshops with a total surface area of 3,200m2, all with access to 5G high-speed fiber and various services (personalized support, bicycle parking, canteen area, …) and activities (entrusted to BIC Crescendo and BGE Sud-Ouest), … This is what the Community of Communes of Haute Bigorre (CCHB) offers to business leaders, business creators and to teleworkers but also to training organizations in its new “proxi-work” space called “La Dynamo”.
The inauguration took place Tuesday evening but a first company has already reserved its place in this location in the heart of the Dominique Soulé activity zone, in Bagnères-de-Bigorre, on the remains of the Soulé factories. And the community intends to attract others, for a monthly rent ranging from €120 to €225. The key is a “new form of flexible real estate reception to develop their activities and to receive their customers in a neutral and friendly space”. If the place is open to all types of tertiary activities and services, the CCHB rolls out the red carpet for the bicycle sector.
A place but also a strategy
“La Dynamo is an evocative name which makes the link between the historic activities of the Soulé area, particularly in the railway, and the emerging sector around cycling that we wish to boost,” indicated the president of the CCHB, Jacques Brune, during the inauguration of “La Dynamo”, followed by the formalization of the new “bicycle-outdoor-mobility” center, Tuesday evening. And the elected official emphasizes that “it is a local workplace but also an economic development strategy for our territory, particularly in the bicycle sector”.
Because if the six activity zones of the CCHB already account for no less than 800 industrial jobs in various sectors (railway, aeronautics, composite materials, slate, sheet metal, etc.), this new space is part of a new industrial dynamic that Today, the community wants to focus particularly on the bicycle sector. A choice follows a reflection carried out with the Pyrenees Agency, the Departmental Council and the “EDF, one river, one territory” agency on the basis of the report of the deputy for Val de Marne, Guillaume Gouffié-Cha (Renaissance) , noting a total absence at the national level of a place dedicated to the physical reception of young innovative companies in the bicycle sector. This is what is now being done in Haute Bigorre, with La Dynamo as a gateway but also a whole system comprising four components (real estate and land offer, personalized support for project leaders, financial assistance and animation of the innovative ecosystem).
A future “Vélo Valley”
“We made the choice to buy empty premises and resort to borrowing but today’s investments are tomorrow’s jobs. And even Emmanuel Macron said in front of several people that the bicycle center should be in Bagnères “, slipped the mayor of Bganères-de-Bigorre, Claude Cazabat. Indeed, with its numerous companies and associations having made the little queen their engine of activity, without forgetting major events such as the Tour de France or the Vuelta and the renowned cyclists such as Bruno Armirail, Rémi Laffont and Chloé Fourmigué Villacampa, the territory already had all the ingredients. All that was missing was a binding element to bring together the various stakeholders and today they are just as delighted to make common cause as they are to welcome other cycling enthusiasts. “Tomorrow, like Silicon Valley, there will perhaps be a Vélo Valley in the Hautes-Pyrénées,” enthused regional councilor Jean-Louis Cazaubon.
“In recent weeks, my schedule took me to Milc (Editor’s note: bicycle frame manufacturer), I had appointments for Territoire d’industrie, training, sport, etc. This evening, it “It’s as if we had put everything together. I see superb projects in the region, be proud of what you do and let people know about it. This beautiful dynamic only requires leaving these borders”, congratulated the initiative the Prefect of Hautes-Pyrénées, Jean Salomon, not without emphasizing that “today, people are looking for a small work space, if possible not alone”.
This is exactly what La Dynamo offers them. And much more. Also coming up is training in cycling professions at the Victor Duruy high school, a fair and an innovation prize, membership in the “Vélo Vallées” cluster, partnership with Shawinigan (Québec), technological support with the new university center in Tarbes , etc. More information from Isabelle Laborde Lalanne on 06 76 10 04 75.
