The shared kitchen
And because cooking is something to be shared, La Dantine is launching a web-series, entitled I will cook at your place, which stages students and seniors, in partnership with the Association of the Student Foundation for the City, the Crous Normandie and the association Partageons un Havre, with guest-star Ismaël Habia, comedian from Les Improbables. This transmission of taste involves observation, exploration and “working together”. Each dish is cooked and then tasted, always in a good mood and sharing. Its release on social networks is scheduled for spring 2023.
Affordable and quality food
In addition to its social aspect, the approach is also intended to be economical by ensuring that everyone has access to it by offering a free, but conscious price. Each person therefore pays for their meal at the price they consider fair according to their personal situation: Cooking yourself is often much cheaper and also healthier. With this participatory kitchen, we want to give everyone the opportunity to come, according to their income. La Dantine is a neighborhood canteen project in Danton, but it is also a participatory cooking association, Les Tablées de Quartiers, open to all residents of Le Havre. Events are regularly organized to promote Normandy agriculture, short circuits, and to promote affordable and quality food, with local partners, such as Hangar Zéro, Épi-Boujou, Graine en main, Havre de Vers, Le Bon Lieu. or even La Consigne havraise. ” With the right products, fresh, local and seasonal, we can do wonders! »
