The group La Chicane moved the biggest crowd of the summer, to the Havre park in La Malbaie.
The evening was perfect. No one left with “resentment in their blood”. On the contrary. The spectators were happy to have spent almost two hours listening to the sound of the group which was born in 1997.
People arrived very early on the site. It was sold out when Jean-Marc Couture, Éric Maheux, Alex Kirouac, Sébastien Daigle, François Blouin and Boom Desjardins took the stage.
It is no exaggeration to say that almost 5000 people were on the site.
Many have come to hear Calvary. But, La Chicane is much more than this song that comes back quickly in the speech when things are going badly. The group has produced five albums.
“The best pay in the world is to see your children sing our songs,” said Boom Desjardins, who kept in close contact with the public throughout the evening.
La Chicane made a successful foray into Quebec rock by performing songs by BB, Marie Carmen, Offenbach and Vilain Pingouin.

The MGM Band opened the evening. The group received a warm welcome. The group formed by Gino Boivin, Luc Marquis, Sébastien Savard and Mathieu Cossette performed for the first time at Le Havre Park. “I would like to come back with the whole group,” said Gino Boivin after the performance. The whole group is 11 musicians and singers.

The MGM Band has a repertoire that will please fans of Styx, U2 and Joe Dassin alike. Moreover, for Salut les amours, we were able to deduce that this very well-known song manages to easily form a choir.
The MGM Band will return to La Malbaie on August 12 for a performance at the top of Mont Grand-Fonds.
