“La Calle de los Libros: A Municipal Initiative Bringing Independent Publishers and Readers Together”

The 2nd was done. edition of “La Calle de los Libros”, an event of the Ministry of Culture and Education of berazategui that brought together local and regional publishers at the La Calle Municipal Cultural Complex. Mayor Juan José Mussi toured the fair and expressed his support for this initiative.

During two days, independent publishers exhibited their literary works and established links with readers. Among them, the EdiBer Municipal Publishing House participated, as well as the Regalá Cultura Fair.

Together with the community chief was the Secretary of Culture and Education, Federico López, who highlighted this municipal initiative: “We are very happy to have this independent book fair, which allows us to make small productions visible, give them a space for marketing and promote them. In this way, it is constituted as one more book fair in Berazategui, in this case oriented to the self-managed and independent sector.

Likewise, one of the exhibitors, Laura Aluan Canselo (Charco Editora Artesanal), stressed: “we have all the artisanal edition books in an event that is very good to happen in the Conurbano, so that people can see publishers from the independent field that , perhaps, in another place they would not see ”.

In addition to the exhibitions, “La Calle de los Libros” offered a wide variety of cultural activities. The stages were filled with musical proposals, poetry and talks about literature, among other proposals.

In addition, local producers offered workshops for youth.
